Export Settings

Export a screen shot or Sequence data from the Test Flow application. To export a screen image or data from all connected instruments, use the global Export All operation from the BenchVue application.

Note: By default, export operations are stored in the "Documents" folder on your computer and are organized by instrument type. For example – C:\Users\<user_name>\Documents\Keysight\BenchVue\Test Flow\Exports\.

Exporting a Screen Shot

You can export a screen shot of the Test Flow application to (1) the Windows clipboard or (2) a PNG, JPEG, or BMP image file.

Below are the Export dialog details:

Export File Details

File Name - The default file name has a "Flow Data" prefix followed by a numeric index. For example, Flow Data 0.

You can include or exclude the date, current time, and numeric index to the file name. The date is in the form YYYY-MM-DD and the time is in the form HH-MM-SS (24-hour time format). For example, Flow Data 2013-09-20 11-40-26 1 – September 20, 2013 at 11:40:26 a.m. with a numeric index of 1.

Export Path - The currently selected path for saving the file on your computer. To change the path, click Browse... and browse to a different path.

File Type - Select PNG, JPEG, or BMP image file type.

Exporting Sequence Data

You can export the data generated by a Sequence from Test Flow application to a file. Click here to see an example of an exported data log.

The following details apply to all data exports to MATLAB, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and CSV (comma-separated values), unless otherwise noted below. After exporting, the corresponding application (Excel, for example) will automatically open and display the data.

Note: Due to charting limitations with some versions of Microsoft Excel, a chart will not be included in the exported Excel file for a data series containing more than 32,000 data points.
